Nancy Duer

Late this morning, November 11, Nancy Duer passed away. She would probably be mad about my using the phrase "passed away," a euphemism she disliked. It ended a long battle with early onset Alzheimer's disease. Now, she is at peace and has maintained her dignity. She was quite an accomplished woman, graduateing from Smith College and starting her own business, Aztec Travel, back in the sixties when women didn't do such things. In fact, it was through her business that I first met Nancy (over the tlelphone) as she booked a return flight for me from Las Vegas back to San Diego, the summer I met her sone Fred, almost twenty-eight years ago. There is no denying that Nancy was quite a character and the joy that she brought to people will remain immeasurable. She will be forever missed and loved.
